These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern use of the Fledge Japan corporate website and provide general conditions for interactions with Fledge Japan Co., Ltd. They work together with the separate terms, enrollment documents, fee schedules, childcare agreements, reservation conditions, and business contracts that apply to individual Fledge Japan services.
These corporate Terms do not replace service-specific contracts or mandatory rights under Japanese law.

2. Scope of These Terms
These Terms apply to the Fledge Japan corporate website, corporate inquiries, information published by Fledge Japan, and general interactions with the company where no more specific terms apply.
They do not by themselves create the complete contract for childcare, English-language lessons, Japanese-language tutoring, online lessons, café transactions, events, or business-to-business services. Those activities may have separate terms and documents.
3. Service-Specific Terms and Order of Priority
Fledge Japan operates multiple businesses and services. A specific service may be governed by separate terms of service, enrollment agreements, fee schedules, reservation conditions, childcare documents, consent forms, quotations, statements of work, or other service-specific documents.
Where a valid service-specific document contains a more specific provision, that provision applies to the relevant service. Mandatory Japanese law always takes priority.
4. Current Businesses and Programs
Current businesses operated by Fledge Japan include MET-EIS 保育園, MET英会話教室, MET英会話家庭教師 Online, and Hans Cafe.
Fledge Japan may also provide English- and Japanese-language education, tutoring, training, events, and related educational services through its applicable businesses and programs. The page, application, quotation, or contract for the particular service identifies the conditions that apply.
5. Website Information and No Automatic Contract
Information on the corporate website explains Fledge Japan and its businesses. A general inquiry, request for information, contact-form submission, facility visit request, or trial request does not by itself create a paid service contract unless Fledge Japan or the relevant business expressly accepts an application or confirms the contract.
Availability, prices, schedules, capacity, teachers, facilities, menus, events, and other service details may change. The applicable service-specific information in effect when a contract is formed governs that transaction.
6. Applications, Reservations, and Purchases
When a user applies for, reserves, or purchases a specific service, the user must provide accurate information reasonably necessary for that transaction and follow the application, payment, cancellation, and service conditions disclosed for that service.
Fledge Japan or the applicable business may decline or defer an application where capacity is unavailable, required information is incomplete, the requested service falls outside the offered service, safe delivery cannot reasonably be arranged, payment requirements are not met, or another legitimate and lawful operational reason applies.
7. Minors and Parent/Guardian Authority
Where a service is provided to a minor, a parent, legal guardian, or other legally authorized person may be required to apply, consent, pay fees, provide emergency information, and make material service decisions.
Childcare and education services may require additional enrollment, health, emergency, pickup, photo/video, and other consent documents. Those documents remain separate from these general corporate Terms.
8. Acceptable Use of the Website
Users may access the Fledge Japan website for lawful personal, family, educational, professional, or business purposes consistent with the normal operation of the site.
Users must not interfere with website security or availability, attempt unauthorized access, misuse forms or contact channels, introduce malicious code, unlawfully scrape or reproduce protected content, impersonate another person, or use the website for fraud, harassment, threats, or other unlawful activity.
9. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not use Fledge Japan websites or services to violate law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, harass or threaten another person, submit materially false information, damage systems or property, interfere with another customer or learner, or create an unreasonable safety or security risk.
Fledge Japan may restrict access or take proportionate action where reasonably necessary to protect users, children, staff, systems, property, or lawful operations.
10. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, website text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, teaching materials, documents, designs, and other original content supplied by Fledge Japan or its businesses are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
Viewing the website does not grant a right to reproduce, sell, publish, distribute, adapt, commercially exploit, or use protected material for another teaching or business service without permission. Third-party materials remain subject to their respective owners’ rights.
11. User Communications and Submitted Materials
When a user sends an inquiry, application, document, comment, file, or other material to Fledge Japan, the user should submit only information they are authorized to provide.
Submitting material does not automatically grant Fledge Japan a right to use a person’s identifiable photograph, voice, testimonial, student work, or personal information for public promotion. Separate consent will be obtained where required.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The Fledge Japan website may link to independently operated websites, maps, social-media platforms, payment systems, reservation tools, video-conferencing services, learning platforms, or other third-party services.
Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Fledge Japan is responsible for its own acts and obligations but does not control the independent content or operations of third-party services.
13. Accuracy, Availability, and Changes
Fledge Japan uses reasonable care in publishing corporate and service information, but website content may contain errors, become outdated, or require correction. Fledge Japan may update, remove, reorganize, or temporarily suspend website content when reasonably necessary.
Where a change affects an existing paid contract, the applicable contract and mandatory law determine whether notice, consent, refund, or another remedy is required.
14. Payments, Cancellations, and Consumer Rights
Payment, cancellation, withdrawal, refund, cooling-off, and make-up conditions depend on the specific service and are governed by the applicable service terms, enrollment agreement, reservation conditions, invoice, or other contract document.
Nothing in these corporate Terms removes a mandatory consumer right. Where a language-school contract qualifies as a specified continuous service under Japan’s Act on Specified Commercial Transactions, the statutory disclosure, cooling-off, mid-term cancellation, and related requirements apply. Separate legally required documents may be provided.
15. Privacy and Personal Information
Fledge Japan handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable Japanese law. Individual businesses may also provide service-specific privacy notices or consent documents.
Use of this website is subject to the Fledge Japan Privacy Policy published at /privacy-policy/.
16. Website Security and Access
Fledge Japan takes reasonable measures to operate and secure its website and systems but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Access may be temporarily restricted for maintenance, security, system failure, updates, emergency measures, or another legitimate operational reason. Users are responsible for protecting any login information or credentials supplied for a specific service.
17. Events Beyond Reasonable Control
Website functions or individual services may be affected by earthquakes, severe weather, fire, infectious-disease measures, power or communications failures, transport disruption, government instructions, cyber incidents, supplier outages, or other circumstances outside reasonable control.
The applicable business will take reasonable steps according to the circumstances. Remedies for a paid service are determined by the relevant contract and mandatory law.
18. Responsibility and Limits Permitted by Law
Fledge Japan will perform its legal and contractual obligations with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, Fledge Japan is not responsible for loss caused solely by a user’s unlawful conduct, failure to follow reasonable instructions, user-controlled equipment or systems, or circumstances genuinely outside Fledge Japan’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law. These Terms do not exclude liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Japanese consumer law.
19. Business-to-Business Transactions
Corporate training, outsourced English or Japanese instruction, school programs, consulting, supplier relationships, and other business-to-business arrangements are normally governed by a separate quotation, service agreement, statement of work, purchase order, or other business contract.
If those business documents conflict with these general website Terms, the specific business contract governs the relevant transaction, subject to mandatory law.
20. Changes to These Terms; Governing Law
Fledge Japan may revise these Terms when reasonably necessary because of changes in law, technology, website functions, services, or company operations. The current version and effective or last-updated date will be published on the website.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The parties should first seek to resolve questions or disputes through good-faith communication. Any court jurisdiction provision is subject to applicable Japanese law and does not remove a consumer’s lawful access to consumer-affairs consultation, mediation, or other dispute-resolution procedures.
